  • My CD in stock at HMV Oxford St, London

Future Music UK, issue FM202, July 2008, has a 6-page article on me which is mainly ‘historical’ but also brings you up-to date with pictures and information on my current studio and album. It gives a flavour of the type of stories and information that will be in my book that I’m currently writing and hope to have out early 2009. ‘Tales From The Bunker - PWL Studios in the 80’s’. I may expand this to include my Marquee Studio years prior to PWL and also my post-PWL years at the Strongroom Studios where I worked with bands like ‘East 17’.

I was shocked and delighted last week to find my album ‘The Story of Beginners’ in the rack at the HMV store in Oxford St, London, I feel like I’ve really arrived!

My album ‘The Story of Beginners’ is available in all UK shops and online (Amazon / i-tunes etc) NOW! Amazon was ‘temporarily out of stock’ as of May 3rd They are now fulfilling orders,! Alternatively just click the PayPal button here and I’ll send the album to you ANYWHERE in the world. Thanks to all of those that have sent messages of warmth and appreciation for the album so far.

I have further interviews and articles appearing in print - Mensa magazine - Amplified, July ’08 issue. Also have just completed an interview for the August ’08 issue of ‘Let’s Talk’ which is an East of England magazine.

  • May 2008 news - my album 'The Story of Beginners' - in the shops and online now

I hope that those of you that have heard some of my 20 or so BBC Local Radio interviews have enjoyed my chatting and playing live (BBC Wales / Merseyside / Suffolk and BBC East). I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it and would like to thank all the fine DJ’s that booked me throughout March and April!
Reaction to my album and single has been really good so far from all that have heard and played so my thanks goes out to all those that have helped me to get this far with it - all the musicians on the album plus John McDonald / Tony @Manilla PR / Mark Rose @ Deep Studios / Ron McCreight for all their promotional support.
I’m ‘On The Sofa’ with Leslie Dolphin at Radio Suffolk on Thursday May 8th at 12 noon which will be fun, then a few more gigs in May around the East Anglia region. I had fun at the Suffolk Songwriters showcase at The Steamboat Tavern in Ipswich a few weeks ago, thanks to Andy and Chris that run that, my performance and a photos can be seen and heard on their marvelous website - http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vd3d3LnN1ZmZvbGtzb25nd3JpdGVycy5jby51ay9wZXJmb3JtZXJzX2FyZWEvcGhpbGhhcmRpbmc2MjE=
I believe the SAW Easter Monday Radio 2 ‘Producers Special’ with Steve Levine can still be heard / downloaded from this link - http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/mainframe.shtml?http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio2_aod.shtml?radio2/r2_recordproducers

  • Radio Interviews and Tour

On Thursday February 7th I recorded an interview with Steve Levine at his studio, with me talking about my time at PWL studios in the ’80’s and we chatted about what is was like working with ‘Stock / Aitken / Waterman’ and the many artists that came through the doors, from ‘Dead or Alive’ through to ‘Kylie and Jason’. I had a great time and hopefully Steve got plenty of interesting info from me with a set of positive questions that weren’t too controversial. The programme will go out on Radio 2 over the Easter Bank Holiday week-end, I’m not sure yet exactly which date or time but will endeavor to find out and post it up on the front page of my website and on myspace for all you SAW fans.
I did get to mention that I’m writing a book about that period of my life, working title is ‘Tales from The Bunker - PWL Studios in the 80’s’, comments on that title please!
I did also mention that I have my own album coming out in April but I’m not sure if those bits will make it to the final edit!
I also have a number of other Radio interviews lined up throughout March, mainly at BBC Local stations, a full list is being kept up to date on my Artist-PH page on my website and on the myspace page.
The promo video for the first single from the album is also online at youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GG9MbEZKAr4 - and on my main sites
